Information Literacy Introduction.

According to the definition in(ALA, 1898), Information Literacy is defined as the ability to know when there is a need for information, to be able to identify, locate, evaluate and effectively use that information for the issue or problem at hand.

Some state Universities in the U.S. have added information literacy into a course which can earn one credit as well.

The importatn function of information literacy:

(1) Help student adjust their college/university study life.

(2) Help student know how to face the information overload's problem.

(3) Help student know how to use library database into their report.
